Accident Investigation Training
This training program assists those who are assigned responsibility for accident and incident investigation to get beyond “what happened” to why it happened, and what can be done to prevent recurrence.
The ideal target audience for this training program is front-line supervisors and Safety Committee members.
The program defines accidents, incidents and “near misses,” and promotes “fact finding, not fault finding.”
The program provides the incentive and encouragement for the investigation of more than just time loss and injury-producing accidents.
It stresses the importance of establishing appropriate investigation teams, and of giving them the resources conduct “root cause analysis” to bring to light the underlying conditions and circumstances which, if previously addressed, could have prevented an unwanted occurrence.
The training session is offered as a half-day program, or can be provided as a full-day workshop.
