Corporate Health Works offers a training program on the Safe Operation of Forklifts. Topics to be discussed include pre-shift inspections and safe operating procedures. The classroom training provides an introductory section on why forklift training is important and necessary and what the new regulations require. It will cover hazard identification including equipment hazards (including power sources), operational hazards and hazards in the working environment. Finally the program will instruct operators on safe work practices and safe operating procedures to minimize the risk of incidence and accidents in the material handling process.

Elevated Work Platforms have become very common tools across a wide variety of industries because they allow workers to easily access work locations that are high and out of reach.  One of the main benefits of these machines is that they have increased worker safety by reducing the need for using ladders and for workers climbing to hard-to-reach locations.  This doesn’t mean that there aren’t safety concerns associated with the operation of elevated work platforms.  That is why Manitoba’s workplace safety and health legislation requires that operators of this equipment be trained to its safe use and also to your company’s safe work procedures.

Whether your workers are using scissor lifts, boom lifts, trailer mounted units or manually positioned work platforms, Corporate Health Works can train your workers to use them safely.  We have experience across equipment manufacturers and models.  The goal of our training programs is to provide documented, effective and reliable training experiences for operators of this equipment.
